Margaret Ricks Mickelsen Pincock 87, a longtime resident of Rexburg died Feb. 12, 2009 in the St. Lukes Hospital in Boise, Idaho
Margaret was born May 18, 1921 at Sugar City, Idaho the third daughter of Ephraim Alan Ricks and Gladys Colleen McQuiston Ricks. At the age of seven her family moved from a farm east of Sugar City into the town of Sugar City where she attended elementary and high school.
She married Max Mickelsen on Nov. 16, 1940 at Rexburg, Idaho where they made their home. Mr. Mickelsen passed away in l956.
She married Glen L. Pincock on Mar. 8, 1957 in Pocatello, Idaho. They lived in Sugar City and Rexburg spending many winters in the Casa Grande, Arizona area. Mr. Pincock passed away in 2002.
Margaret was a member of the LDS Church serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher and was a counselor in the Young Women's Improvement Association presidency . She was also a member of the Rexburg Bowling Association, President of the Fremanida Lapidary Club in Fremont, and the Madison and Fremont Cowbells where she received the Cowbell of the year award in l977. She was a clerk and weigh master at the Rexburg Livestock Auctions for 15 years and was President of their Homeowners Association in Arizona.
She is survived by a son Michael P.(Cathie) Mickelsen, Boise, ID. and daughter Sandra (Jim) James, Challis, ID.; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a sister Ola Ricks Trupp, (Bubbles) Aberdeen, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 3 grandchildren.
At Margaret's request a graveside service with close family members will be conducted Saturday, March 14, 2009, in the Sugar City Cemetery with her son Mike Mickelsen and her grandson Bart Mickelsen conducting. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony.
