Thomas Reed Blake 67, died at his home on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009 from natural causes.
Tom was born June 30, 1942 in St. Anthony, Idaho, the son of Jack Hunter Blake and Mae White Blake. He grew up in the Egin Bench area attending local schools graduating from South Fremont High School in 1961 . While in School he excelled in athletics and Future Farmers of America.
He joined the national guard with the 116th combat engineers Brigade and served in Vietnam from l968 to 1969 as a squad leader reaching the rank of a sergeant.
During his life he worked as a farmer, logger and an employee of Fremont Co.
He was married and later divorced. He is survived by his children Thomas Devin Blake, Herington, Kansas, Dayna Lynn Ball, Boise, ID.; brothers - Fran Blake, Rexburg, ID.; Ted Blake, Parker, ID.; and a sister Maurita Henricksen, Spokane, WA. He was precedced in death by his parents, a brother Bob Blake and a sister Barbara Fogarish.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bidwell Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 1:30 until the time of services. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery where military rites will be presented by the St. Anthony V.F.W. and American Legion.
